@photomatt vs. @pearsonified – Battle of the GPL!
Designinformer pointed out an uncomfortable twitter confrontation between WordPress creator, Matt Mullenweg and successful WordPress theme developer Chris Pearson. Turns out @BillErickson was booted off of the WordPress Consultants list by Toni Schneider (CEO of Automattic) for promoting the ‘Thesis’ theme by Chris Pearson. Automattic feels that ‘Thesis’ violates their GPL license. Chris Pearson feels that it does not apply to him.
Here is a link to the original email sent to @BillErickson – Removal from CodePoet Email. Interestingly, Matt casually mentions in the comments section that Chris has “…previous experience of selling counterfeit handbags.” Oh SNAP!
Personally, I’m not sure why anyone would pay for a theme framework with something as good as Thematic out there, but thats just my opinion.
Walking Dead – #daily365
They’re making a television series out of the ‘Walking Dead’ Comic… Awesome! Starts in October 2010.
Look Ma, No Flash!

Superfluous B.S.
